Ramen Kagetsu Arashi Restaurant Review

Last Friday, was invited to the Ramen Kagetsu Arashi, a Japanese popular Ramen restaurant in Japan and Singapore to try out their two exclusive new dishes Ginjiro ramen and Itameshi dry curry rice. My third time step into Ramen Kagetsu Arashi Restaurant and I am glad that they have release their new dishes to the public.

Already a hit in Japan and Taiwan, the Ginjiro ramen is a laborious dish but it is well worth the effort. Pork bones are simmered over long hours so that their natural sweetness can be extracted. Dried bonito, kelp and several other ingredients are then tossed in to achieve that flavoursome goodness. Highly addictive, this Kagetsu Ramen original is rich in collagen and a definite must-try.

The dry curry rice is a brand new offering by Kagetsu Ramen. A blend of spices lends a moderately spicy punch; even those who cannot take spicy food will relish the perfumed mixture. The rice is slightly scorched to create a crispy texture and smoky aroma. Resting atop the rice is a wonderfully prepared egg, fragrant and cooked to perfection.

Try it now!

My Fair Lady Musical at MasterCard Theatres Marina Bay Sands

Thank You Base Entertainment Asia for the invitation to My Fair Lady Musical Performance held at MasterCard Theatre at Marina Bay Sands. Thinking of speaking a good-prefect English language? ‘My Fair Lady’ is one of the musical you must watch within the month of February and March.

My Fair Lady Musical is based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1912 Play Pygmalion, a romance-comedy and educational musical which allows you to deep in to the beautiful stories about language and clash of cultures. Through the approximately about 3 hour’s performance, I was excited and impressed by their songs, interior stage design, the live music played as well as the casts vocal was smooth and beautiful. Thank You for the great night!

My Fair Lady Synopsis:
Based on George Bernard Shaw's 1912 play Pygmalion, MY FAIR LADY will transport audiences to Edwardian London and one of the most beautiful stories ever told about language and clash of cultures. It follows the relationship between Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, and the snobbish and misogynistic Professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, who wagers that he can turn Eliza into a "proper lady" in three months' time. Those who experience MY FAIR LADY will be enchanted by this tale of triumph of the human spirit, as well as the love story that emerges between two unlikely heroes, ultimately joined together by their fascination with the English language.

When the show first opened on Broadway in 1956, starring Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews, critics described it as "legendary" and "one of the greatest musicals of the century." MY FAIR LADY went on to win six TONY Awards, and, in 1961, became the longest-running production in Broadway history at that time.

MY FAIR LADY features book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, and includes the classic songs "The Rain in Spain," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" and "Get Me To The Church On Time." Often called "the perfect musical," MY FAIR LADY is an unforgettable experience with beautiful music and exquisite costumes that will remind theatre-goers as to why musical theater was born.

My Fair Lady will be playing at the MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands. Children under 3 years old may be admitted free access to the theatres and Children who below 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The pricing of My Fair Lady ticket start range from $95 - $195 (VIP Seat) and do visit their official website for more information about My Fair Lady @ MY FAIR LADY MUSICAL

3rd Battalion Singapore Guards Weapons Presentation at War Memorial Park

Today marked down the Singapore 30 years of Total Defence Day and also marks the anniversary of the surrender of Singapore during World War II. A day we give respect to those who died in the War at War Memorial Park. As a part of memories day, SAF had organized a weapon presentation ceremony for the new recruits of 3rd Battalion, Singapore Guards which held this evening at the War Memorial Park.

Well, the weapon presentation is usually held in camp within the first few weeks of Basic Military Training, and is a symbolic first step for a recruit in becoming a soldier of the SAF. Today, this was a rare opportunity for the new recruits’ soldiers to receive their weapon SAR21 presentation in the public.

The War Memorial Park has been selected by the unit as the location for this ceremony because it was constructed to remember civilians of all races who were victims of World War II. The 61-metre tall memorial comprises four columns which represents the four races, and is joined at the base signifying the unity of all races. Hence, this location will remind the soldiers that what they do in training is for the purpose of defending our country as the role of National Servicemen. Likewise, the weapon presentation leads off at 1820hrs, which is the time when General Percival signed the surrender agreement of Singapore in 1942.

This event started off with the soldiers parade form up to welcome the arrival of Service Chiefs and CDF, parade commander report to the CDF, next we observance of 1-minute of silence and followed by 3 Guards Commanding Officer’s address and lastly, the weapon presentation to the new recruits.

Congratulation to them for receiving their weapons! Time to defence our country!

The whole memorable ceremony was well-prepared and it ended off with the National Anthem with a respect to our new soldiers as well as the loyalty to our country.
