Wishbone: The World’s Smallest Smart Thermometer

Wishbone is a non-contact thermometer that works with smartphones to improve the way we measure and track temperatures.

It is easy to use and can accurately detect object, body and ambient temperatures in under 2 seconds, accurate to within ±0.2°C when measuring body temperature and within ±1°C in object mode. Its non-contact characteristic is unobtrusive and ideal for taking the temperature of babies and young children, their surroundings and their food.

Wishbone’s unique Y-shape is designed for better viewing angles, to be read at a 45° angle which is the most natural viewing angle for human eyes. Smaller than traditional thermometers, Wishbone is ideal for handbags and nappy bags, and easily attaches to most smart devices.

Coupled with the user friendly Wishbone App that can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, the fully functional Wishbone thermometer is easy to navigate and operate and is the only smart thermometer that is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Through its app, Wishbone can store historical data, which can be viewed at a later date for analysis and reference. This feature is particularly helpful for parents monitoring their baby's recovery from illness and for couples that are trying to conceive by tracking female body temperature to help identify ovulation periods.

Particularly helpful, is the function to create profiles for individuals to separate and track each person's data, allowing for systematic recording and monitoring of slight fluctuations in individual temperatures. Wishbone is the perfect companion to mothers and mothers-to-be.

The Wishbone Smart Thermometer is now available at TANGS @ Tangs Plaza at #01-457A, Suntec City and soon to Hipvan, retailing at $79 each.

Food Review: Magical Taste of Coconut Steamboat at Chicken Legend

There is nothing better than enjoying the coconut based steamboat which brings you a magical taste with the comfort dining experience. A new concept of healthy eating steamboat, at Chicken Legend, originated from Shenzhen City and the first Coconut Steamboat is now available in Singapore.

They are almost a year in operation. As this is a new business and brand new concept, they are trying to gain more exposure and reach out to more customers by letting them know about Chicken Legend.

They serve the Steamboat set with pure coconut water straight out of the coconut itself, unlike traditional steamboat; no artificial sweeteners are added into our soup at all. The natural sweetness of the corn and the savouriness of the prawns gives the soup a very unique refreshing taste that has won us several repeat customers.

The special concoction of premium soy sauce fuses more than ten different herbs and, they serve it with generous servings of garlic, lime and chilli for you to add according to your preference. The tender Kampung chicken cubes taste best when dipped in their home-brewed Premium sauce, and 1 of our steamboat set can serve 2 adults nicely.

They offer various steamboat set which is good for two. There are Chicken, Seafood and Meat Set catering to different preferences. You might also notice a Small Set in the menu, this is suitable for the small appetites. The broth was light to the extend of colourless. Don’t judge by the look, the taste of the broth was amazing good.

My favourite was the meat platters, as it goes very well with the coconut broth. After cooked with coconut broth, the Shabu Shabu beef absorbed the coconut aroma and well combined with the dipping sauce.

Some advice from the owner, prawn will be added at the last as the prawn will changed the over taste of the broth. At the start, the broth was sweet vegetable chicken soup. At last when prawn was added into the broth, the broth tasted into another awesome flavor.

Food Review: Old Boys Gallery Bistro at Kampong Bahru

Old Boys Gallery is the latest addition to the neighbourhood of Kampong Bahru, serving western-fusion with more than 50 different varieties of craft beers and ciders to suit every palate. This was formerly an art gallery but has now been transformed into a bistro where food meets art.

The walls was decorated neatly with empty beer bottles, are lined with art pieces by local artists which can be bought if you’re interested. One of our wall mural features Paris, in particularly, the lovers' lock. While the locks in Paris have been removed, customers are welcomed to bring their own locks or get a lock from us to seal their pleasant memory at Old Boys Gallery (OBG).

Soup of the Day - Pumpkin Soup - $8.70

You also can create your own snack platter for $21. (Select 3 different snacks from the menu). We chose OBG wings, OBG crab cakes and crispy squid. My favorite was the light and airy OBG Crab Cake that’s topped with homemade tartar sauce and fresh sprouts. The OBG Wings was something special, it was marinated with Marmite, it was on a slightly sweet savory taste.

Old Boys Gallery's Steak served with mixed green and fries. The steak was very tender, juicy and grilled to perfection. It cost at $19.90

The most famous dish over at Old Boys Gallery, the Manster Beef Burger!! The burger will never disappoint you, it was topped with Juicy beef patty with caramelised onions, crispy bacon, slices of tomatoes, barbecue sauce and mayo with an egg on top, all of those in between soft lightly toasted buns.

Something special about this pasta!! Old Boys Gallery present Roast Pork Carbonara, where Creativeness and Art meet Food. You won’t find roast pork carbonara anywhere else but here. Taste-wise, it was creamy, roast pork was film, thick and has a savory crispy skin. Poached egg enhanced the overall taste of the pasta.

The boys at Old Boys Gallery are sincere in putting a smile on faces and filling stomachs. On the whole, it is a place that’ll never fail to impress you and your bunch of friends. An additional point for Old Boys Gallery, they are NETT PRICE!!!

The food tasting session had served us with 7 delectable course meals using the top-grade freshness ingredients and the presentation of every Cantonese dish prepared was remarkable.

Pan-fried Diced Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper & Crispy Garlic. Succulent yet tender, and accented with lashings of homemade black pepper sauce, the juicy meat complements the sauce perfectly, yielding a tiny explosion of tastes and flavours, which is utterly irresistible.

My favourite Cantonese dishes of the day were Steamed Sliced Giant Grouper with Red Dates & Light Soya Sauce and Stewed Tomato with Assorted Mushrooms.
