Unbelievable Journey with Cirque du Soleil TOTEM

Cirque du Soleil returns to Singapore with TOTEM, a fascinating acrobatic journey into the evolution of mankind performance under the Big Top on Bayfront Avenue in this October to December.

It was an amazing Wednesday evening under the Big Top to witness the grand opening of Cirque du Soleil TOTEM live in Singapore. This was also my first time watching the Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM and it gave me a deep impression on the wonderful three hours full show.

My Verdict:
The Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM tells a story about the journey of mankind evolution from the past to present century. TOTEM performance used technology to kick off a spectacular visual and interactive stage effect to enhance the starry ambience and audiences’ attention. The hard rock band musician had also done a great job in delivering its live metal music to enhance the overall audience’s auditory and visibility.

Actors and actress of the Cirque du Soleil TOTEM had also showcased themselves in their fashionable glamorous outfit during their full-three hour’s performance. In lined with the dance choreography and music synchronization, every segment of TOTEM performance gave a different story themed and every set of unpredictable precision movement will definitely make you jaw-dropping as the level of difficulty increase.

I am totally attracted by the story of the Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM as it has a little education mixture in term of scientific psychic element and the transformation of world geography. I believed this is a good opportunity for everyone to learn or re-cap the education we used to study in the past school days.

Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is a MUST-WATCH thrilling show in Singapore and it definitely will make your day and make you STUN LIKE VEGETABLE!!!

The Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is available in Singapore from 28 October 2015 to 6 December 2015, under the Big Top on Bayfront Avenue, beside Marina Bay Sands. Hurry and book your tickets now!

5 Spectacular Displays at River Nights Festival 2015

River Nights Festival is back this year with bigger and spectacular lights displays at Singapore Asian Civilisations Museum from today, 23 October, to next week, 31 October 2015. Enjoy your wonderful night-time experience along the Singapore River with the ultimate lights installations by local and international artists which brings you colours of life.

This festival celebrates the Singapore River’s changing identity through the years, from vital trading artery in the colonial past to the current magnet for locals and visitors, drawn to its history and the colourful nightlife after sunset. Today, I visited the River Nights festival opening and here are the 5 spectacular displays you can find at Asian Civilisations Museum and also along the Singapore River.

1. 160
160 is an interactive light and sound installation consisting of 160 light bars covering an area of about 60 meters. The public can take ownership of the space by playing with the light and sound to create a visually stimulating and sensory experience. This captures attention, and echoes a fleeting moment from the vibrant rhythm of life alongside the Singapore River in the not-too-distant past.

2. Les Voyageurs By Cedric Le Borgne
This installation of larger-than-life human figures made of chicken wire invites dreamy wonder. The transparency of the material, when teamed with lighting, imbues these sculptures with a special, ephemeral quality. The artist sees them as a subtle and transient connection between sky and earth, between dream and reality. The work invites contemplation and meditation by questioning the unexpected, fleeting emotions one experiences.

3. Magic Trees
Unique cost-saving concepts that make a tree look more vibrant. A playful mixture of colour display with blue, purple and green, shining onto the trees located outside the Asian Civilisations Museum facing the Singapore Rivers.

4. Walter by Dawn Ng
Walter was conceived as a project to draw attention to commonly-overlooked and overfamiliar spaces. By popping up, guerrilla-style, across Singapore's landscape of flats and heartland enclaves, Walter reinvigorates spaces and delights passersby. At Empress Place, we hope that Walter will interact with the old colonial buildings, inspiring thoughts of art and history, the old and the new.

5. The Chicken wire Couple
Compared to the above Les Voyageurs, whereby the human figures made of chicken wire, this installation is larger and is the center attraction of River Nights Festival. Play with the surrounding spot light display and it will definitely give you an unexpected result.

5. Delight By Yves Moreaux
With the Asian Civilisations Museum and Singapore River as a backdrop, Yves presents an imaginative, colourful lightshow inspired by the museum’s collection and Singapore’s multicultural heritage. Be the first to catch his exclusive work for the ACM at River Nights!

River Nights Festival is Free Admission to all public at Asian Civilisations Museum. Do check out the River Nights Festival official website for more lined-up activities, programme & performances.

Memorable Up-Close Experience with the Lonely Bull on Coney Island Singapore

Continue from my previous Coney Island article about “10 Must See Things at Coney Island Park”, Thank you for all your support! In our previous article, it has hits its massive unique record. I sincerely appreciate your time for reading my blog.

So, I made a promise to myself to visit back the Coney Island Park as my main objective is to find the Lonely Bull. Therefore, I hosted a gathering session with my few good friends to visit the Coney Island Park last Sunday. Although it was a warm-hazy afternoon, some of my friends are first time stepping on to the Coney Island, but we were well-prepared and excited to explore the nature in this island.

The main objective for us is to find the bull in Coney Island and I believe by now, it has becoming the star attraction and hot topic in Coney Island Singapore. We took up this challenging task and walked through the forest area for about 4.5km in distance from West to East and East to West.

"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." Evening knocked us after our three hours walk, but this time round, miracle happened to us! A short 50m distance away from the cycling path, seeing the Lalang waving randomly… and a BULL appeared in front of us! I swear I got shock when I first saw the bull on Coney Island Singapore.

Old Bull taking his slow walk

Shy and lonely bull on Coney Island Singapore

My first impression of the lonely bull was friendly. It does not disturb or afraid the passing-by human, in fact the bull will just walk over to its destination without you noticing it. My friends and I stopped and captured the amazing memorable moment of our Coney Island Singapore visit.

He like to pose for photo!

Unexpected to get myself a selfie with the lonely bull on Coney Island Park!

Photo with my awesome outdoor friends! And of course thank you Steven from (The "Perfect" Father) for capturing this critical moment. Although it was the back view of the Coney Bull but no BULLSHIT! Heheh
