5D4N Taiwan Trip: In touch the beautiful Nature at Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山國家公園)

Hi Readers! It’s time for me to update my Taiwan, Taipei Travelogue post – sharing the beautiful nature at the Yangmingshan National Park. I visited Taiwan (one of my favourite country) in last December and I am glad to meet up with my Taiwanese friends in Taipei. We had a fulfilling breakfast before heading off to our adventures day trip at the Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山) and Shifen (十分).

We drove from the Taipei Main Station and it took us about nearly an hour to reach the Yangmingshan National Park. It is one of the top-rated tourist attractions in Taiwan and is located at the northern part of Taipei City. While passing through the twists and turns path, I was literally amazed by the locals who hike and cycle up the mountain.

And here we were! Welcome to Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山)!

"It's not about the destination, it's about the journey."
It was my first time visiting the Yangmingshan and I am in love with the chilling weather and the breathtaking nature landscape.

Marvelous scenic views at Yangmingshan National Park!

Taking little steps to the top of the Yangmingshan, my friends and I had a great time photo-shooting along the gorgeous lalang fields. It is definitely a perfect place for portrait and landscape photography shoot (Of course, you need to visit at the correct timing). Each season give you a different look of Yangmingshan scenery. To add on, you can also spot interesting plants around the Yangmingshan National Park too.

"Enjoy the little things in life, because one day you will look back,
and realise they were the big things."
Reaching the top of the Yangmingshan National Park in Taiwan is one of my wishlist in life. Thank you my Taiwanese friends for planning this wonderful and memorable day-trip. In my next post, I will be sharing the stunning attractions taken at the Shifen Old Streets. Stay tune!

Group photo and call it a day at 陽明山! Cheers!

The all-time craving Soi 55 Thai Iced Tea has expanded its store to One Shenton Way and Ang Mo Kio, bringing its well-loved Thai drinks to other parts of Singapore.

Soi 55 offers a selection of drinks such as Thai Rose Milk Tea, Thai Green Milk Tea, Thai Milk Coffee, Thai Black Tea, Thai Lemon Tea, Thai Honey Black Tea, Thai Coconut and slushies.

“Paint Your Drink” Series (Price of toppings: Between $0.30 and $1.00 per topping.)
Soi 55 first introduced the Thai Milk Tea with Red Ruby series, and the familiar Thai dessert in a drink combination became a hit.

There is now the option for customers to add their favourite toppings from pearls, sago (white, blue, purple), chin chow, earl grey jello, coffee jello, blue sapphire and red ruby, to create their own multi-coloured versions of Thai style drinks.

White Kho Kho Nut Slushie (Price: $4.90)
The perfect drink for the hot summer days, the White Kho Kho Nut is made ‘a la minute’ using fresh coconut juice from the fruit. The result is a healthy yet filling drink, both creamy and naturally sweet.

Thai Milk Tea (Price: $3.30 cold (22 oz cup), $2.80 hot, $4.90 bottle)

Taste the healthy and hearty authentic Korean Cuisine at SBCD Korean Tofu House

The healthy and hearty authentic SBCD Korean Tofu House is now available in Singapore, nestled in the heart of Central Business District (CBD) at Tanjong Pagar MRT station. With the modern, spacious and comfortable air-conditioned interior, the restaurant is able to hold the large office crowds for lunch and dinner.

SBCD Korean Tofu House specializes in a variety of Korean soft tofu soup, where the “soon” in “soontofu” means soft, and it is prepared fresh by hand daily in the restaurant.

Likewise this Korean restaurant offer a set of tender side dishes (banchan) such as the kimchi, seaweed, pickled green chilies and spicy squid strips and whole fried croaker fish which come with every meal.

It’s always good to pair your Korean tofu soup with Korean meat dishes such as L.A. Galbi, Spicy Grilled Chicken, and Spicy Baby Octopus. My friends and I had a delightful scrumptious Korean dinner at the SBCD Korean Tofu House. Thank you for the recommendation on the signature dishes too!

It upholds the kitchen philosophy of serving uplifting and complete meals, and every soontofu dish is created with soft and silken tofu that is hand-made fresh daily, and prepared in 4 different levels of spiciness for the broth – mild, medium, spicy and crazy hot. For junior diners who do not wish to have any spice in their meals, the Sesame Soontofu soup would be an ideal option.

Chicago hit Singapore with seductively-sexy musical at MasterCard Theatres

Thank you Base Entertainment for the Chicago gala invite, I had an enjoyable evening over a seductively-sexy musical at the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands.

The Chicago musical is based on real life events back in the roaring 1920s, nightclub singer Roxie Hart shoots her lover and along with cell block rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they fight to keep from death row with the help of smooth talking lawyer, Billy Flynn.

Staging on the spectacular lighting with the well-coordinated performers, the Chicago showcase a series of endless Jazz music and sensational dancing to the onboard audiences. A pageant of music and dance that adroitly shifts between reality and fantasy, as Roxie Hart’s world moves from prison to the courtroom to the stage. Overall, it is a recommended musical to watch in this February.

Chicago the Musical is now available at the MasterCard Theatres @ Marina Bay Sands, from 8 February to 26 February 2017. Tickets can be purchase at this link here.
